HOW DO SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE SPEND THEIR FREE TIME?

“The biggest difference I have noticed between successful & non-successful people is: HOW THEY SPEND THEIR TIME. People either waste time or improve the “future version” of YOURSELF”

 Amazingly, poor/unsuccessful people spend any sleepy moment “filling time”. This is to say, doing things that add little to no value to their future life — filling their time with “stuff to do”. I’m talking about playing games on phones, continuously staying updated on Instagram, snapchat, facebook, etc. This is acceptable when you are a child, but not as an adult! Their routine minutes waste away — minutes turn into hours, hours turn into days and weeks and months — pure time wasting. Unsuccessful people place a very “unprofitable” on their time — even though they have a fixed lifespan — a limited time on earth — they have a “do it later mindset”.They may be behind on their credit cards and car payments, but generally goofing off takes away some stress.

 

"Success" is the attainment of wealth, fame, etc

According to experts, how you spend your downtime plays a huge part in your ability to achieve these things.  

 They spend time with family and friends.

 When the peoples working or going to school, it's hard for people to give full attention to those they care about, Taylor says. That's why they make an effort to check in with friends and family during their downtime.

 They Day Dream and Set Ambitious Goals

 Successful people are future oriented.

Sometimes this can work to their detriment, but in most cases it gives them the vision and motivation to pursue the next great chapter in their life.

If you have a few minutes to yourself, I encourage you to actively day dream.

Think about the life that you want and the goals that you have for yourself.

Write them down and then go make them happen

 

They spend time outside.

They go for  Enjoying nature and outdoor activities for relaxation to get rid of their mood during the workweek, physically and mentally. "Successful people don't take our environment for granted,"

 

They travel.

 Many of success peoples like to travel, they want to explore new cities or visit friends and family during their time off from work. Why? They grab exciting experiences — and want to learn about new places and cultures.

 

They exercise.

 Many successful people thrive on good health and seek a regular fitness program or even extreme sports. " cycling, hiking, snowboarding, surfing, scuba diving, and, for the extreme sports lovers, there are bungee jumping and a host of other options,"

 

They Learn New Skills and Expand their Network.

 If you want to become successful then you need to become more valuable to the world.

How do you become more valuable?

By becoming better connected and acquiring valuable skills. It’s that simple.

Every successful person that I know dedicates some time each day to mastering their craft and expanding their network.

Volunteering, no matter where or how you do it, is beneficial to you and your community. Whether we are helping to clean up a highway, working in a kitchen, or providing mentorship to a group of young professionals, your time goes a long way toward improving the community around you. Professionals realize the importance of giving back to the community and feel happier because of it. Volunteering is also a valuable networking experience, introducing you to other people who, one way or another, can help you drive your career forward.

 

 At Last, we all should spend your free time like this, it doesn't mean you have no chance of being successful. However, picking up some of these strategies can improve our abilities, improve our mindset, and expand our network to levels that will increase our chances for success in the workplace. Start incorporating into your free time routines and you might just be surprised at the results.
